This joint workshop is an opportunity for attendees to provide their views and requirements to four major initiatives, APARSEN, SCIDIP-ES, EUDAT and DPHEP, which are evolving beyond the end of their respective EU-funded projects, and will continue to help organisations to manage and preserve research data.

EUDAT 2013 conference in Rome
The EUDAT 2nd conference held on 28-30 Oct 2013 in Rome, was the ideal setting to showcase these services and outline the roll out phase as well as to offer hands-on training. Discussions on the new set of EUDAT services were also a feature of the conference with semantic annotation, dynamic data & workflows addressed, a natural follow on to the Working Group discussions that were held in Barcelona in Sept. 2013.

This year the aim of the EGI Autumn conference will focus on the open issues related to the efficient processing of big data towards the realization of the EGI vision of the Open Science Commons, and will feature user-orientated sessions, as well as a rich track on Cloud.
