SCAPE_logo_thumbThe SCAPE project invites you to a demo day where you can meet some of the SCAPE developers in their own environment. The developers will show you how you can benefit from the project results by integrating tools and services developed in SCAPE in your own preservation environment.

 

The Internet Memory Foundation
4 July, 13.30 – 16.30
Paris

This event will:

  • Introduce the SCAPE project and its outcomes
  • Present the Internet Memory infrastructure and the SCAPE platform, demonstrating the benefits of such infrastructure when dealing with large amount of data
  • Demonstrate Pagelyzer, a tool allowing visual Quality Assurance for web archives

 

The British Library
14 July, 09.30 – 13.00
London

This event will:

  • Give an overview of the SCAPE Project and its architecture
  • Show how Hadoop is used for large scale processing
  • Demonstrate use of the DRMLint tool (detection of DRM in PDFs and EPUBs)
  • Demonstrate use of Jpylyzer and Schematron tools for validating JPEG2000 files
  • Use of Nanite and C3PO in characterisation

PREFORMA project has been hosted in the DCH-RP stall at the workshop on digital preservation sustainability on the EU policy level organised in London in the frame of the JCLD/TPDL 2014 Conference.
Digital preservation sustainability on the EU policy level
The main objective of the workshop was to provide an overview of solutions to challenges within Digital Preservation Sustainability developed by current and past Digital Preservation research projects. The event brought together various EU projects/initiatives to present their solutions and approaches, and to find synergies between them.
Acting on change: new approaches and future practices in digital preservation
The conference, organised by PERICLES project in association with the DPC Awards 2016, is aimed at those working to develop digital preservation policy, strategy and procedures; establish digital preservation infrastructures and workflows; systems developers, providers and procurers; and those interested in seeing the systems and tools developed that reflect their needs and environment.
2016 Digital Preservation Awards launched
The Digital Preservation Coalition finds and celebrates the very best work in digital preservation across all sectors with the launch of the 2016 Digital Preservation Awards. The result of the design phase of the PREFORMA project has been nominated for the Award for Research and Innovation, which culminates in a glittering awards ceremony at the Wellcome Trust in London on 30 November 2016.
