Interview with Marion Jaks

Marion is a video archivist at the Austrian Mediathek, the Austrian video and sound archive. Her main area of work is the digitization of analogue videos and quality control of video files entering the digital archive. DCH-RP Second Plenary Meeting in Venice

The two-days discussion was held in a positive spirit of collaboration and covered both the impacts already achieved by previous projects and those foreseen in the future to be obtained by DCH-RP. The meeting continued with the discussion on the project’s activities, where each partner presented its achievements and plans for the next months. Europe’s cultural treasures online: opportunities ahead

On 2 October 2014, the European Commission published two reports, coinciding with the international conference held in Rome, at the National Central Library, on occasion of the Italian Presidency of the EU. The conference aimed at urging cultural institutions in Europe to put more cultural heritage online, with the government support. The Commission will continue to monitor progress in this area through periodic reports and by chairing expert groups on digitisation and digital preservation and monitoring the correct transposition of the Orphan Works Directive.
