Rudy Pessina, Photography Consultant
Performance/installation artist and sculptor based in Pisa. Professional photographer since 1982, he worked in fashion, beauty, still life and industrial photography and had produced advertising photos for many important companies (including Sandoz, Elnag, Ferraretto and Roberts). Since 1996 he has been working for Promoter, realizing photographic material for multimedia publications, including the CD-Rom Olivs an Oil produced by Promoter and Sacis International. He also works for institutions such Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies of Pisa, Unesco and Trenitalia. He works in stage photography (e.g. Teatro delle Albe company winner of the Premio Ubu in 1999; Sacchi di Sabbia company winner of the Premio Ubu in 2006) and is employed from art publishing in work of art and art sites reproduction. He holds photography courses at various levels in his own studio and in public high schools as well as workshops and masterclasses. In 2002 he founded the Imago Cultural Association, which organizes photography exhibitions, video projections and multimedia performances. He is currently President of the Association. He is also personally engaged in photography art and has taken part to collective and personal exhibitions (e.g. Saint Petersburg Photo Vernissage 2011).
